Letter From Frank

Posted: April 3, 2009 in Updates on Frank
Got a letter yesterday from Frank. He’s in pretty good spirits but commented how life is going by so fast, and can’t help wondering if he’ll ever be free. Still, he remains hopeful.

He also made mention of the fact that September 15th of this year will mark 20 years to the day that he has been in prison on this wrongful conviction.

Hmmph…September 15 is Shorty Harden’s birthday.

Hmmmm what a coincidence. I can’t imagine how Frank can remain in good spirits after having his life destroyed by a corrupt system that is meant to protect us. I’m glad to hear that he is in good spirits and hopefully news of progress now and then can help to give him some hope to hang on to. I can’t stop thinking about how much difference there is from when you are 30 years old and 50 years old. He has lost the best years of his life, and that is so sad. I really hope that we can all pitch in and help Rob help Frank. This could be any of our kids or grandchildren, and that’s a very scary thought to think that it can happen to any of us.

  2. Sept. 15th is also my girls’s b’day….the one they chase relentlessly, we look a lot alike, or I used to, anyway…So they now think she’s me, and she was only 4 years old when it happened! She’s kinda like Goldschmidt’s victim, probably curled up in a fetal position (as Nigel puts it) there at the Polk Co. jail on her 27th birthday, …..hope she makes it to at least to 40, like Sam did, or better yet, like “Susan” she may get lucky and make it to 46. We can run, but we can’t hide…
