The Untimely Death of Frank Thompson

Posted: October 14, 2009 in Francke Case
Another untimely death occurred after Francke’s. The death is still shrouded in mystery.

The mystery includes allegedly missing personal journals and "4,800 to 6,800 pages" of documents allegedly in possession of the decedent, missing also. The alleged topics of the documents: corruption related to the Oregon Department of Corrections contracts, special deals with others in State Government, and even the Francke murder investigation.

In August 1990, a year and a half after the January 1989 murder of Oregon Corrections Director Michael Francke on the grounds of the Headquarters of the Oregon State Corrections Department, Betty Reynolds, then outgoing director of the state’s Oregon Ethics Commission, spoke to the Portland Rotary Club at the Masonic Temple.

Reynolds recounted to the Rotary how Frank Thompson, at 45, (an assistant personnel manager in the Department of Insurance and Finance) was found dead a few months earlier. Reynolds was in the process of leaving Oregon the next month, after resigning her position.

Yeah, I should just shut up about all my peripheral connections to the case, cause I myself would not believe it!But um, so is/was the "Cub" Houck construction company the same as the R.L. Houck Construction Co. ?? I am thinking so, because that is too coincidental and I worked for them and they were pretty underhanded, always screwing me out of "prevailing wage".

If I remember correctly Cub is Roy Houcks uncle. My husband also worked for Roy Houck
