Lottery director named new judge | statesmanjournal.com | Statesman Journal

Kulongoski said he selected Penn for the position because of his strong qualifications.

"Dale Penn has an unparalleled history of service for the people of Marion County," Kulongoski said. "His outstanding record as a public official, private attorney and community leader, and his commitment to upholding the integrity of the law, uniquely qualify Penn to serve as a Marion County Circuit Court Judge."

Have you ever heard anything uttered from Kulongoski’s mouth that sounds more ridiculous than that? Probably, but you get my point.

So Penn gives up Lottery Director job for temp seat on the bench. He has to be elected this spring to stay. Can this fool actually win? Are folks in Salem that tuned out? Ha, he’ll probably be a stand-alone candidate.

The good ‘ol boys are still holding strong, huh?
