New Billy Jack Haynes Shoot Interview

Sometime in the past 12-18 months or so Billy Jack Haynes finally got his chance to speak out. The interview, which really isn’t much of an interview because Billy is the only one doing the talking, was apparently shot on video for wrestling enthusiasts and by wrestling enthusiasts.

 

Billy, fairly quickly, mentions getting stabbed and beat up in 2006, and Phil Stanford writing about it in the Trib. Nothing nice to say about Phil.

 

The shoot lasts about 2 hours and 37 minutes, and is mostly an attack on Vince McMahon. Billy does finally mention the Francke murder around 2:17-2:21, and again at 2:22, saying something about being forced to leave Oregon before testifying at the Francke murder trial, and that his father’s life was threatened if he testified. 

 

Classic Billy rambling on and informing everyone at the end that he’s been diagnosed with Hep C, and probably doesn’t have long to live. Conspiracy theories abound throughout centered around McMahon. I listened to the entire 2 1/2 hour audio file. Amusing.

The Wrestler and thinking of Billy Jack Haynes

Watched "The Wrestler" this week on DVD and couldn’t help thinking about Billy Jack Haynes through the entire movie.

 

I have few regrets about having to move away from Portland, but I sure wish I’d have still been in Portland when Billy contacted me. Had I have been able to meet with Billy in person, things would’ve played out much differently. I have a fondness for Billy that is difficult to explain other than I feel we are both alike in many ways.

 

Whether or not the story Billy shared with me about him being at the Dome Building the night Michael Francke was murdered is true we may never know for sure, but I can assure you if I was still in Portland Billy and I would’ve spent a lot of time together, and we would’ve paid a visit to Bruce Anderson’s house together.

 

It sickens me that so many people have come forward with information over the years only to be ignored for one reason or another. That makes no sense to me at all.

 

Prior to Billy contacting me in late 2007, he had also been in contact with a local Portland area documentary video producer. Billy was hoping to generate interest in filming a documentary on his life. Did he conjure up his Francke story to entice the producer to take on the project? Maybe, maybe not. Again, personally I would’ve spent time with Billy to find out.

 

Billy continued his correspondence with the producer after he discontinued his correspondence with me using his Francke story to garner more attention to the documentary project. Although the producer was genuinely interested in Billy’s Francke spin, he ultimately determined Billy was more interested in telling his life story aside from the Francke spin.

 

A woman who claimed to be Billy’s ex contacted me last month asking if what Billy had shared with me about the Francke murder was true. Her name is Cherri Houk. She never responded to my reply to her email. Others have contacted me concerning Billy. One with an offer for Billy to do some promo spots or something. Reconnect with his fans in some way. I forwarded the email to Billy.

 

I’ve also extended an invitation to Billy to come visit me in Iowa, and have offered to cover his travel expenses. You’re not scared of me are you Billy? Best way I can think of for the two of us to iron out any differences brought about by Granny. I’m more than happy to share my thoughts with you face to face rather than Granny forwarding my emails to you.

 

Seems to be a lot of new videos of Billy on YouTube lately. Here’s one of his retirement which includes his father and other family members. One thing I’m sure of…Billy did love his father very much.

 

    

This, that, and Billy Jack Haynes

As we approach the 20th anniversary of Michael Francke’s murder, and Phil Stanford is gearing up to devote a column to the occasion, I’m wondering what he will write. As much as I like Phil, and respect his early work on this case, he just aint what he used to be. It’s been about 15 years since him and Kevin winded down their crusade for justice, and began making preparations for the filming of the movie, "Without Evidence." Since then, what? More on that later.

 

I never have been able to understand why the Trib reported Shorty got paid for his interview with a lie. Jim Redden, who wrote the article, knew full well Shorty was being paid $3,000 by the Francke brothers. Not $1,000 as he reported. Oh, they knew they would take some flak if they didn’t mention it, and it got out, but again, why lie and risk that getting out. Shorty would know, right? If you’re gonna trust Shorty not to say anything, then why not trust him to not mention being paid at all?

 

Not much difference really. Sure, there was some flak about Shorty being paid, but who would’ve thought the most outspoken one of all in that regard would be Frank’s sister Francine?

 

Ya know, I played along with that charade as well, until I realized there was an even bigger charade.

  

It’s been a year now since Billy Jack Haynes came to me with his story about witnessing Tim Natividad stab Michael Francke. What occurred between Billy, Granny/Pam Quinn, and myself over that fiasco was the most comical of all. Especially in hindsight a year later. Take some time to read all those posts in my "Billy Jack" category, and you’ll see what I mean. From Granny’s perspective you’d think she found her "Deep Throat," in Billy Jack and we were all in danger as if we’d written "The Pelican Brief." LOL!

 

In other words, if Granny’s worries or concerns had been valid, we’d all be dead now. Everybody is still alive and kickin Granny. And Granny thought we were the first people he had shared his story with. Not quite Granny. I’ve learned Billy had begun running his mouth to others about witnessing the Francke murder long before he came to me.

 

Whatever Billy’s reasons were for telling the story he did we may never know. I’ll give Frank’s fed lawyer Nell Brown credit for at least attempting to listen to his story. Maybe Billy would’ve showed for his appointment with her if Granny hadn’t of turned everything into the fiasco she did.

 

I guess that internet fame Granny has been after just got the best of her with the Billy Jack saga. I mean, with an email address of pamela@onlinesuccess.com… well, haha, I guess that about spells it out, right?

You seem to have this idea that I paid Shorty for his interview or that I got paid. Nothing could be further from the truth. The Francke brothers paid Shorty. I didn’t, and I got nothing. No splitting the money with Shorty, NOTHING!

I’d havta go back and check the tribune articles, but I’m pretty sure the Trib simply mentioned Shorty was paid $1000 for his interview. I don’t think they specifically said who paid him, but of course it implied it was me since I’m the one who befriended Shorty and made the interview possible. Funny thing is, the Trib knew the Francke’s paid him $3000. So why say it was $1000? Tell ya in a minute. Curiously, when the Francke’s met me to bring the money they only gave me $1000, with the promise of the other $2000 the next day. I was expected to go back to Shorty and still sell him on the interview under the new terms. Kinda like goin back to the drug dealer and telling him here’s 1/3 now and they want you to front the rest. Haha! How I ever convinced him is beyond me. Maybe it’s because I garnered his trust or he felt he owed me cuz for the past month I’d loaned him money, did fiberglass work on his corvette and painted it in my shop, and did countless other favors for him. I brought him and his kind around my family, and did it all in search of the truth. The amount of time I spent with Shorty so the whole thing could happen is worth much more than the $3000 the Francke’s spent. The $1000 up front deal was purposely done to appease the warped sense of truth in the Trib reporters. They could say it was $1000 cuz that’s all they saw, even though they knew $2000 was to follow. Why mention it at all unless you’re going to be 100% truthful? You figure it out Billy. You’re a smart guy.

I found Shorty living three miles from my home in Portland by asking someone to run a DMV check. It was that simple. This after Kevin Francke led me on three wild goose chases up to Auburn, WA where Kevin said he was living. Phil was against me looking for Shorty. He was worried I’d end up dead or something. What a crock, huh?

 

Phil and a couple others in the media have been spinning stories about Frank’s case for years now, and have been getting paid for everything they have done. Frank’s family have done nothing other than put money on his books. Then there’s Kevin, the brother of the victim. Is anyone surprised at his attempts to find the truth? Of course not! He’s family.

 

Then there’s me. A guy with no connection to either family, and a guy who didn’t even know Frank. A guy who simply decided to step up and do something instead of sitting back and wondering why nobody else was doing something. A guy who had a dad that was a corrupt cop, and a guy who had himself been a drug dealer/user and had lived in that world. I decided to create a website so I could compile every bit of info, every story ever written, etc, and put it in one place in an attempt to create some sort of vehicle informing others of Frank’s plight. Naturally I included some of my own opinions such as Scott McAlister being responsible for the hit.

 

I didn’t have a clue how to make a website Billy. I spent well over a year working practically 16 hours a day teaching myself how, and reading everything I could get my hands on to inform myself about the case. All this for a guy I didn’t even know. Not to mention the toll it exacted on my marriage. I didn’t ask anyone for permission or expect anything in return other than hopefully playing some part in getting Frank freed.

 

I could go on and continue to explain things further, but what’s the point? I don’t care what you or anyone else thinks about me. I know in my heart what my intentions are, and that’s all I need to concern myself with.

 

What I find absolutely ridiculous is how you accuse me of hurting Frank’s chances of freedom because Shorty got paid for his interview. Tell it to the Francke’s. They paid him, not me. I just found the fuck and got him to tell me if he lied or not. It was Phil and Kevin who were hot to get me to convince Shorty to do an interview with the Trib. Anyway, I could go on about how the whole thing played out, but don’t have the time, and besides, I know what up and that’s all that matters.

 

What really gets me is how YOU accuse me of fucking Frank. The guy who alleges to have actually seen the murder and who has kept quiet about it until now.

 

With that said, for you, of all people, to accuse me of fucking up Frank’s chances of freedom is completely absurd! Point your guilty conscience elsewhere.

 

What I have learned Billy is that the Francke’s and the media have been using me and playing me much the same way you’ve been played by the media, Anderson, Dunn, etc. I have so much evidence of that it’s ridiculous, and would fill a book. A book I may write someday, and if I make any money on that it will be because I earned it. I expect nothing for free. I know the truth, and you know the truth. THEY have been trying to discredit me ever since the Shorty thing. Do I worry somebody? THEY have spent years discrediting you Billy. Do you worry somebody?

 

Let’s talk about Pam who has spent a couple of years attempting to befriend me and garner my trust. That’s easy enough to do if you are a contributor and not just a passerby. Pam contributed some good work and I am appreciative of her contributions. I can’t do it all or necessarily the best. I just do what I can and hope others will follow my lead. Multiple heads are better than one. So why did she all of a sudden betray me and forward an email I sent her to you. Nothing I wouldn’t have said in that email directly to you if given the chance, but she didn’t give me the chance. Obviously her intentions were to turn you against me. If you or her either one had issues with me why not direct your questions directly at me? Why didn’t you email me after you got that email and ask me why I said this or that? Communication Billy.

 

Instead, you fall in the trap. I’ve never met Pam and always suspected her true intentions. With all I’ve learned it would be foolish to trust anyone, now wouldn’t it? Just ask yourself why she would throw away all the trust she has garnered with me to discredit me in your eyes? Again Billy, you’re a smart guy. I really don’t need to explain, do I?

 

I never sent your emails to anyone at the trib. I did tell Jim Redden you said you witnessed the murder and about the knife getting stuck. That’s it! Besides, you told me to talk to them. You were all about getting a press conference together. You even told me to contact Nigel. If you don’t remember, maybe it’s because of your meds. Reread your emails you sent me. I never shared your emails with the trib because they weren’t interested. They think you’re a flake, and I even told you that. Redden had nothing but good to say about Bruce Anderson, and my last email to him was all the shit Pam had dug up on Bruce. I told Redden that I basically begged to differ with his opinion of Bruce.

 

I heard that Pam is fearful I’ll get everyone killed with my mouth. Probably cuz I wrote her telling her I was gonna post everything on the website about what you told me cuz I’m tired of waiting for the media to do anything and tired of playing games. I fully expected her to write back and talk to me about it, but instead she betrays me in an attempt to discredit me in your eyes, and severs all communication with me.

 

Saying something and doing something are two different things. Wouldn’t you agree Billy? Besides, I’m so sick of scared fucks! I’ve put myself and my family out there with everything I’ve done, and the biggest probably being how I confronted that sick pedophile McAlister. Anyone who is scared should just go run and hide. As I said earlier…I created the website to inform others. Much has happened that I have witheld for one reason or another. Maybe to curb my impulsiveness or spontanaiety and wait for the proper time. Maybe to give others or the media enough time to do whatever, I don’t know.

 

What I do know now is I’m sick of all the bullshit. Sick of being attacked by people who don’t have a clue what they’re talking about. I just had to do it to see if it played out how I suspected it might.

 

Now we come to you contacting me and sharing what you know. What am I supposed to do with it? You wanted to hold a press conference and tell the world. I haven’t seen any press conferences. So might as well put it up on the site. Did you come to me and tell me your story and ask me to keep it quiet? No! You came to me asking me to help you obtain a press conference. Even wanted me there by your side.

 

If I put your story on the website will it put your life in danger or Pam’s? Why should I give a fuck when all you are doing is attacking me? My website simply contains everything that was wriiten about this case, as well as my personal experiences with Shorty and McAlister, and those experiences are truthfully written, even down to the part about me eventually getting high with him. I have nothing to hide, and I’ve always hoped that that type of honesty would help others to believe in me more. That seemed to be the case with you in the beginning. What happened?

 

Meg Hanson seems to be the only one with good info who isn’t scared. She brought her story about seeing the MIPS and actually wrote it all down so all I had to do was copy and paste it on the site. No one is paying any attention and she’s still alive and kicking.

 

If I put your story up no-one will probably pay any attention to it either. You can’t prove anything, and the passage of time has made it even more difficult, and you wanna point the finger at me for fucking up Frank’s chances of freedom? Take a look in the mirror Billy.

Take care of yourself Billy. That’s what I’m mostly spending my time doing these days. Since I last talked to you I’ve been diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes. Was pissin like every 15 minutes so went to the doctor. Fuckin blood sugar was at 556! I spent the night in the hospital while they brought it down and they sent me home on oral meds. I take two pills a day. It’s all good. I’m workin out at the gym and am on a 2000 calorie diet that is working quite well. I weighed in at 269 at my diagnosis, and weigh 250 now. Feeling much better and have much more energy. My ideal weight is 225. So I got 25 more pounds to lose. Piece of cake! Speaking of cake…wish I had a slice! Haha! Ah, I still get dessert. Just sugar free stuff that tastes pretty good really, and of course diet pop. Doc said I’m on track to beat this shit. Said I can make it go away with diet and exercise and getting in shape.

 

I do love a challenge…

Billy Jack Haynes-The Final Chapter

Picking up from BJ’s 12/20/07 email which was the content of my last BJ post a week ago…

 

I didn’t hear from Billy again until 1/1/08. Coincidentally, I still wasn’t hearing from granny either during this time. I had forwarded Billy’s last email to granny where he seemed upset that Nigel and I had briefly discussed Billy’s meeting with Nigel (email in the previous post). I didn’t get a response from granny until just before the 30th of December. Here’s granny’s response to my email…

BJH seemed to be expressing (in the email) that he had a concern about Nigel and you discussing BJH meeting/s with Nigel, on an ongoing basis.

That’s what I read from it, anyway. I suppose if I had been nearly murdered, like BJH, and thought it was related to the Francke murder, I would be extremely cautious, too.

 

Note from Rob: Cautious? Whatever! If Billy was being cautious why did he spill his guts to me (a complete stranger) in all these emails and phone conversations? More posturing for Billy’s benefit obviously.

I am having problems sending out emails again, and incoming is going into the wrong folders. My son was here from Seattle just changed things on my email for me while he was here, so hopefully it will get better..He switched my email server to another one he has, so far so good today.

That was kind of Frank to send his art to you for a Christmas present. It would be nice if you could scan it, with his permission of course, and put it on your website, for the public to view.  He is truly talented at art, from what you have shared with me before.

we both agreed that it was way to dangerous for me to stay there, and his wife, dog, and

security system, and who the fuck knows what else man, I was damn near killed twice and

So what was your take on what Billy had to say?
 
One of the most intriguing points to me that Billy mentioned was how Tim stabbed Francke near the car and the knife got stuck. According to Billy Tim chased after Francke as he stumbled toward the front sidewalk of the dome building where Tim pulled the knife out. Billy’s recollection of that seems very vivid.
 
That would account for the blood droplets beginning on the sidewalk leading north toward the steps to the North Portico.
 
I’ve always wondered why the blood droplets began midway between the front steps and the north portico steps which is not a direct route from the car to the north portico. It would indicate Francke may have initially headed toward the front entrance of the dome building then changed direction toward the north portico. Possibly after Tim pulled the knife out.
 
Then there’s Wayne Hunsacker’s account of seeing two men near Francke’s car, and…well…you know about that, right? Personally I have never been convinced Hunsacker was honest with his statement. Might’ve had the fear put in him by someone or been paid to say whatever. Who knows? Just a hunch, that’s all. I’d love to talk to Hunsacker though.
 
I have always found it ironic that the theory the cops spun for the prosecution with their investigation was always fairly close to the way this thing probably went down. They just replaced Tim with Frank, and made up the car burglary thing.
 
So…"should we believe this man?" Does Billy just have a personal vendetta against Bruce Anderson, and that’s what compelled him to conjure up his story?
 
It’s an interesting one if you approach it with an open mind.

Hello friend! I wanted you to know that the ball is rolling, I sat down with Nigel for 2 hours

this afternoon and told the truth of 1/17/89. Nigel has told me to keep everything on ice, and

not to let anyone in on the investigation. I felt Nigel thought I did have some issues with past

crisis, with childrape and deaths. But I feel that Nigel belived in me, and there is great hope

for a new trial for Frank Gable. I will take an independant lie detector test if needed, as well

as a hypnosis if needed.

 

Note from Rob: I interpreted that last remark to mean Nigel had possibly asked Billy if he would submit to a lie detector test and/or hypnosis. Not like either of those haven’t been used before in this case. What could it hurt?

 

 

Nigel told me to keep this low key while he investigates my information with which I really do

feel will as you say "FREE FRANK GABLE"! This will bring down alot of big politicians who’d

thought they were "UNTOUCHABLE", I don’t know how I’m alive today my friend,  Nigel

does remember me in 2005 spring when I went to the 10th ave WW to get the 6 page BS

front page full column. I was trying to start my own investigation on the murder. I/we know I

told you I eyewitnessed Frankes murder which is true, but Nigel needed me to tell you and

Pam, Phil I don’t communicate with, but includes Phil though to be silent for awhile OK!

 

I enjoyed Nigel with his honesty and direct questions, seeing your website and nearly being

killed was like an oreo cookie Nigel, please just be patient and Frank will get his freedom

and alot pricks are going down,OK! I’ll e-mail Pam also, cause Nigel did ask me if I told

anyone if I witnessed frankes murder and I couldnt lie, its the truth that’ll set us free! Bruce

and McAlister, as well as Goldylocks have some explaining to do! Your website helped me

with alot of memory and reason, thanks Rob! If I’m murdered now at least the ball is rolling!
